He is Director of the Albany Medical College Virtual Anatomy Program. He is responsible for planning and delivering the anatomy curriculum, which includes the use of virtual anatomy tables that provide a multidimensional learning experience to students.
Dr. Fahl brings to the Albany Medical Center and Albany Medical College years of clinical and academic experience in pediatric gastroenterology. His interest in Cystic Fibrosis started in medical school and continued over the past 40 years. He has a deep interest in radiology and anatomy, all of which have helped him build a robust anatomy curriculum.
In addition to directing the anatomy curriculum, Dr. Fahl teaches medical students in the preclinical and clinical years. He mentors pediatric residents as they learn specialty as it relates to children with feeding, nutrition, digestive issues and Cystic Fibrosis.
After graduating from Beloit College, Wisconsin, Dr. Fahl attended Hahnemann Medical College (now Drexel University College of Medicine), Philadelphia. He completed his residency in pediatrics at Hahnemann University Hospital, and then his fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology and nutrition at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
Dr. Fahl has been a practicing pediatric gastroenterologist for more than 35 years and has taught his specialty as a member of the faculty at Hahnemann University, University of New Mexico School of Medicine; the University of Washington School of Medicine, Seattle, the University of Nevada - Las Vegas School of Medicine and Albany Medical College. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology. He was recognized as one of the region’s top doctors in New Jersey, Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Seattle, Washington.
